Mokena School District 159 Boundaries
Mokena School District 159 services an area of approximately 12 square miles. The western boundary is the townsip line between New Lenox and Frankfort townships (approximately 120th Avenue), to approximately 191st Street, then west to the Wabash Railroad. This line extends north to the center line of Route 80, then east along the center line of Route 80 back to Townline Road extended, taking in those parts of New Lenox Township known as Rolling Heights and Marley Hills, then north to the Cook County line. The northern boundary is the township line between Frankfort and Orland Townships (183rd Street). The eastern boundary starts from a point on 183rd Street which is one-half mile west of Route 45, then continues 90 degrees south 1.5 miles to 195th Street, then east one-half mile to Route 45, south one-half mile to LaPorte Road, then west approximately one-quarter mile, after which it begins a southwesterly route along the center line of Hickory Creek to 108th, then turns south one mile to Route 30. After extending west one-quarter mile on Route 30 to Wolf Road, the boundary line proceeds south on Wolf Road to the old Conrail Railroad, then again west along the Conrail Railroad back to Townline Road.
